Porsche recently updated the EPA range estimates for the Taycan lineup on their consumer website. Although the Environmental Protection Agency has not officially published these numbers yet, Porsche's claims indicate significant improvements in the electric sedan's range. The table below shows the updated range numbers for each Taycan trim level: - Taycan (89 kWh) 19-inch: 274 mi (an increase of 66 miles) - Taycan (105 kWh) 19-inch: 318 mi (an increase of 76 miles) - Taycan 4S (89 kWh) 19-inch: 252 mi (an increase of 46 miles) - Taycan 4S (105 kWh) 19-inch: 295 mi (an increase of 60 miles) - Taycan Turbo 20-inch: 292 mi (an increase of 54 miles) - Taycan Turbo S 21-inch: 266 mi (an increase of 44 miles) - Taycan 4 Cross Turismo 19-inch: 277 mi (an increase of 42 miles) - Taycan 4S Cross Turismo 19-inch: 272 mi (an increase of 42 miles) - Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo 20-inch: 265 mi (an increase of 32 miles) - Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo 21-inch: 261 mi (an increase of 39 miles) Porsche achieved these improvements by introducing larger battery sizes with improved thermal management.

The Performance pack now features an 89 kWh battery (up from 70 kWh), while the Performance Plus option is increased to 105 kWh from 93 kWh. The base Taycans come in rear-wheel drive, while all other trims are all-wheel drive. The 4S trim and above can be upgraded to the 105 kWh battery if desired.

Additionally, enhancements to the rear motor, inverter, software, wheel aerodynamics, tires, and heat pump all contributed to the increased range. Porsche also improved high-speed brake regeneration by up to 30%. The maximum charging rate has also been boosted from 270 kW to 320 kW, making it faster and more efficient to recharge the Taycan.

Overall, these updates demonstrate Porsche's commitment to enhancing the Taycan's performance and efficiency, providing drivers with a more compelling electric driving experience.
