Ford Unveils 2024 Shelby Super Snake with 830-HP Mustang

Shelby American has unveiled the 2024 Super Snake, a limited-production model based on the new S650 Mustang. Only 250 units will be made, making this a highly exclusive offering. The Super Snake is equipped with a 5.

0-liter V-8 engine that comes in two power outputs - 480 horsepower and an impressive 830-hp version which includes a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger. In addition to the powerful engine options, the Super Snake boasts a range of performance upgrades.

These include a redesigned suspension, unique wheels, a Borla exhaust system, stronger brakes, and improved cooling capabilities. Drivers can choose between automatic and manual transmissions, with the latter option featuring a short-throw shifter and one-piece driveshaft. Shelby American's CEO, Joe Conway, emphasized that the Super Snake is designed to push the boundaries of Ford's Mustang sports car, staying true to Carroll Shelby's vision of continuous improvement.

The model features weight-saving measures such as an aluminum hood, carbon-fiber front fenders, and lighter wheels, enhancing both performance and agility. Interior enhancements are subtle, with Shelby logos replacing the usual Ford branding. Manual transmission models receive a unique gear shifter as an added touch.
