Recall issued for Aston Martin DBX

7 months ago 4221

Aston Martin Australia has issued a recall for 217 units of the DBX SUV, citing a potential issue that could lead to a loss of power and assisted steering, among other critical functions. According to the car manufacturer, the problem stems from the fuse box cables not being properly tightened to the correct torque. This oversight could result in a sudden loss of motive power, headlights, power-assisted steering, and other essential vehicle functions.

Drivers may notice hazard warning lights on the instrument cluster, indicating that multiple functions are compromised. If left unaddressed, the loss of headlights, power-assisted steering, and motive power could pose a significant safety risk, increasing the likelihood of accidents causing harm to vehicle occupants and other road users. The affected vehicles were produced between 2020 and 2022, with a list of Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) available for reference.

Owners of the affected DBX models will receive notification via mail from Aston Martin and are advised to schedule an appointment with their nearest dealer for a complimentary replacement of the fasteners. To locate the nearest Aston Martin dealer, owners can click on the provided link.
